Dear Sir Marcus,
Greetings to you, glad to hear from you as the situation now is getting unclear of what
will be the results of our fight to stop the capitalists from buying the remaining sacred
forest. Mount Kalabasiyon now, and other mountains are really in danger of the entry of
the capitalists.
We are very worried about our last home, for this I came to the tribal owners and ask them
to wait for March 31, 2021 and also ask for the extension to April 5, 2021. They are very
hesitant to agree because they said that our organization is nothing to do with the
agreement from November 2020 to March 31, 2021. They need the money for their survival
also during the pandemic time.
They said that time given was very long, and they want to sell it to the capitalists as
the capitalists have cash to pay for the sacred forest. I was very worried about this
since we don't have money to compete with the capitalists. As the result, I was sick
last 3 days.
This morning I was going back again to community to ask again another chance and extension
until April 5, 2021, fortunately they granted the request and I was very happy.
Yes, the $30,000 is the partial payment of the $50,000 to buy the 100 hectares. So if can
pay the partial payment then the remaining balance is $20,000, to complete full the
payment.
I have already provided the bank details to Sir Paulsen, as he is the one in charged of
the funds to transfer it to the Organization bank account. If there are any donors who
want to help that would be great.
Thank you so much sir,
Love,

How are you? What is the current state of things? The $30k is only partial payment? Is
there more required?
How do we get the funds to you at the point when and if we have them? I am going through
Tribal Trust in the US and we will need a place to wire and confirm receipt and land
purchase. Would you be open to a visit with any major donors (more than $10,000 USD)?

Subject: Datu-One Page Paper Dear sir Marcus,
Greetings to you from the tribes in Philippines, thank you so much for the kind words, yes
the deadline is March 31,2021.
This was agreed last December 1,2020 with the tribal owners of the 100 hectares.
There are lots of private persons, investors and real estate companies, business tourism
want to buy the land from the tribal dealers.
I can't name them, because every day different new faces come and go. They want to buy
all the land for self interest.
By the way, there is an update of the fundraising campaign made by Madam Thomas, and it is
very helpful to convince the donors.
I have partially talked to the clan owners and asked not to sell the land after the
deadline. I told them that If we can put a partial money of 30kusd then, they will not
sell the land.
I told them, that we can continue to fundraise money to buy all their lands sacred forest
in order not to sell it to the capitalists for mining and logging.
The 2 land owners agreed that 30k usd is the partial payment for 100 hectares. They said
it is very ok. I told them also to sign the deed of sale, they said they are OK for
that.
For this we need to put a partial amount to the sacred forest.
Please let me me what things to do, my point is to save the last home of the tribes.
Love and respect
